As indicated in our mission statement, the Penn-Ohio Singers strive
to be recognized
for competitive excellence. The Johnny Appleseed District (JAD),
which includes
chapters from the entire states of Ohio and West Virginia and nine
counties in Western
Pennsylvania, is one of the most competitive of SPEBSQSAs
sixteen districts.
Since its formation in 1982, the Penn-Ohio Singers have
won nine JAD Eastern Divisional
contests and consistently placed in the top
ten in the entire District.
On October 27, 2007 the Penn-Ohio Singers came in tenth place out of 22 choruses
with an
average score of 64.6 at the JAD District contest in Independence, OH. Good job POS!.
